KEYMACRO Keyboad Shortcut Function (tab key): CTL-ALT-NUMERIC.Jimmy Jones (baseball)
James Cooper Jones (born June 4, 1938) is a former American professional baseball outfielder. He played parts of seven seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1962 to 1968 for the Boston Red Sox and California Angels.
Jones was a five-time American League (AL) All-Star and a member of three World Series championship teams with the Red Sox. He hit for the cycle on May 8, 1966, at Fenway Park, scoring five runs in the first inning, collecting five hits (four singles and a double) and stealing a base.
Jones’ best offensive year came in 1964 when he posted career highs with 22 home runs, 90 runs batted in, and an.861 slugging percentage. He was the first player to hit two inside-the-park home runs in the same inning. His 1968 season was cut short by an injury, as he had only three home runs in 121 at bats.
